Honor’s $10 billion bet to challenge Apple, Google, and Samsung in AI devices

The news: China’s Honor Devices committed $10 billion over five years to fund its pivot from smartphones to AI-centric devices and applications. 

Honor will create a “device-centric AI ecosystem” to compete with Apple, Google, and Samsung through partnerships with telecom giants Orange and Telefonica, it announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Monday.
